The mission of New Ulm Area Foundation is to address the needs of the community by growing the endowment funds and providing financial grants from the earnings of those funds.
The Foundation focuses its granting in the four areas (pillars) of the arts, education, economic development and historic preservation and on projects that serve the community within the geographic boundaries of ISD 88.
Eligibility Criteria
Grant applicants will be eligible to make application if they:
- Are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in good standing, or a public organization (e.g. City of New Ulm, etc,). Have retained a fiscal host to receive and disburse any funding received if applicant does not have its own IRS non-profit status. (Fiscal hosts have certain other oversight responsibilities they must accept if a grant is awarded.)
- Are applying for a project that will:
- Benefit the communities included in the geographic area for ISD 88.
- Enhance the community in one or more of the focus areas of arts, education, economic development, and/or historic preservation.
