The objective of this grant program is to award grants to nonprofit organizations, cities, counties, cities and counties, districts, state agencies, and departments; and, to the extent permitted by federal law, to federal agencies to support environmental enhancement projects located within or immediately adjacent to waters of the state.

The total amount awarded to all grantees in a single year is typical $250,000 to grantees, but maybe more or less depending on several factors.
Eligibility Criteria
Any nonprofit organizations, cities, counties, cities and counties, districts, state agencies, and departments; and, to the extent permitted by federal law, federal agencies may be awarded funding in an Environmental Enhancement Grant.
Evaluation Criteria
Projects that meet minimum requirements shall be further evaluated using the criteria below. These screening criteria shall be used to distinguish between preferred and non-preferred projects.
