Excellence and Innovation in Education Teacher Grants (Minnesota)

Dated: March 23, 2022

The District 112 Foundation is proud to invest in academic innovation and excellence in Eastern Carver County Schools.

Donor Name: District 112 Foundation

State: Minnesota

County: Carver County (MN)

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline (mm/dd/yyyy): 04/18/2022

Size of the Grant: $1,500

Details:

The Foundation’s Teacher Grants are a great resource for educators with project ideas that enhance student achievement and motivation to learn. All grants must align with Eastern Carver County Schools’ learning philosophy of engaging, inspiring, and empowering students to achieve their personal best. Grants that include technology-related items will need to have IT department approval prior to purchasing items, so you may want to confirm with the IT department that your request will be approved prior to applying. In general, high-value criteria include innovation, sustainability, scalability, educational value, student impact, and the ability to leverage community support or funding.

Funding Information

The District 112 Foundation will consider grant requests up to $1,500. The grant application should substantiate the proposed grant activities and the budget. Requests above $1,500 or blanket $1,500 requests without details will not be considered.

Eligible Projects

The District 112 Foundation seeks to fund projects that clearly support its mission: to advance innovation and excellence in education in Eastern Carver County schools. Ideally, projects should become self-supporting when the grant period ends. The District 112 Foundation does not fund the following: teacher preparation time, salaries, substitute teachers, tuition, general school supplies, copies, personal travel, or food and beverage expenses. All grants must be aligned with ECCS’ mission and vision and must be supported by district policy. Grants that include technology-related items will need to have IT department approval prior to purchasing items, so you may want to confirm with the IT department that your request will be approved prior to applying.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Funding is only available to projects impacting Eastern Carver County Schools, staff, or students. Projects must be submitted and led by an Eastern Carver County Schools’ employee.
  • There is no limit on the number of proposals or awards a staff member may submit or receive. Similarly, there is no limit on the number of awards an individual school or department may receive.
  • If your project is funded, the Foundation will require a final report one month after the project is completed. Failure to complete a final report will impact any future requests for funding.
  • Any unused funds must be returned to the District 112 Foundation.
