The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), is seeking support from natural resource conservation partners to work together to help enhance conservation delivery in the State of Mississippi. The overall intent of this announcement is to solicit partnerships to help enhance the implementation of key conservation objectives and priorities.
The purpose of this announcement is to advertise opportunities to parties who are interested in partnering with NRCS to provide technical services to address the conservation objectives described below.
Objectives
Conservation partners are invited to apply for NRCS assistance with projects focused on the following key conservation objectives:
- Grazing Lands Conservation
- Easement Program Technical Assistance
- Climate Smart Agriculture
- Urban Agriculture
- Outreach
Funding Information
- Estimated Total Program Funding: $5,000,000.
- Award Ceiling: $1,000,000.
- Award Floor: $50,000.
- Projects may be between 1 and 5 years in duration
Eligibility Criteria
- County governments
- City or township governments
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- State governments
- Private institutions of higher education
- Special district governments
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
