CBS is expecting an unprecedented number of cruise ship visitors during the 2022 summer cruise ship season. Increasing the availability of restrooms along Lincoln Street was determined an important component of the Short-Term Tourism Plan which was adopted by the Assembly to mitigate the increased number of visitors into the downtown corridor. This grant program has been budgeted to incentivize and compensate existing entities to open their toilet facilities to the public during the 2022 summer cruise ship season.

- Grant amounts will start at $1,000 per approved application.
Eligibility Criteria
- Businesses, non-profits, and churches with bathroom facilities in the downtown corridor are encouraged to apply. Funds can be used to offset the costs associated with public use of restrooms. The goal is to not only increase the number of restroom facilities available, but also compensate existing entities that make their facilities open to the public.
