ARPA, Fiscal Recovery Fund assistance to small business and non-profits includes, but not limited to:
- Loans or grants to mitigate financial hardship such as declines in revenue or impacts of periods of business closure, for example by supporting payroll and benefits costs, costs to retain employees, mortgage, rent, or utilities costs, and other operating costs
- Loans, grants or in- kind assistance to implement COVID-19 prevention or mitigation tactics, such as physical plant changes to enable social distancing, enhanced cleaning efforts, barriers or partitions, or COVID-19 vaccination, testing, or contact tracing programs
- technical assistance, counseling, or other services to assist with business planning needs
Over the last six months the Moran Administration has engaged in conversations regarding requests for funding under the American Rescue Plan Act and made sure to hear from a broad range of stakeholders. As they have listened to the proposals and requests, it has become abundantly clear that an application process is needed to evaluate these requests for funding.
The Administration and City Council are committed to distribute a minimum of $2,500,000 in funding to external stakeholders who had programming or capital needs impacted by COVID and were unable to find supplemental funding under any other program.
