The County envisions the program would enable trained staff (e.g., health care workers, therapists, social workers, case managers, etc.) to problem solve and connect individuals experiencing mental and behavioral health crises or situations to the appropriate health care provider and resources (as well as potentially allow these persons to remain on-site for stabilization).
This grant program is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which was signed into law by President Biden on March 11, 2021.
Grant funding may be used for:
- Operational costs including staffing, programming, and/or leasing.
- Behavioral health equipment.
- Capital costs to develop, purchase, and/or improve a physical space or facility. If the Applicant submits a request for capital costs, the facility must be located in Outagamie County.
Funding Information
$2.25 million is available through this program. The minimum funding request is $500,000 per application and the maximum request is $2.25 million.
Eligibility and Use of Funds
Non-profit organizations are eligible to apply for grant funding through this program.
Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be administratively reviewed for completeness and then competitively reviewed by an evaluation team for merit. If an application fails to pass the administrative review, the application may be rejected.
