Health and wellness are at the core of HFL’s work. For HFL:

  • Health is “a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity” (World Health Organization).
  • Wellness is the “active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more successful existence.” Wellness has six dimensions: emotional, occupational, physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual (National Wellness Institute).

Funding Information

  • Grants up to $10,000
