Cal ICH is seeking partnership with federally recognized tribes and stakeholders in the development of a tribal grant program, including an application process that meets the needs of tribal communities, and is seeking feedback as to how Cal ICH can best support federally recognized tribes in their goals to prevent and end homelessness in their communities.
Funding Information
- $20 Million in flexible funding is available to Federally Recognized Tribes in 2022, as they work towards their goals to prevent and end homelessness in their communities.
- Funding provided in 2022 will need to be spent by June 30, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
- Federally recognized tribes are the only applicants able to receive funding; however, tribes are able to partner with other organizations in their application and are encouraged to do so.
Eligible Uses for Funding
- Tribal communities hold the expertise to design and implement culturally responsive solutions that meet the needs of their communities. With that in mind, funding is available that can flexibly support a variety of interventions. The examples provided below are not exhaustive.
- Federally recognized tribes are encouraged to partner with other agencies for the delivery of services that meet their community’s needs.
