Funding Information
MDE estimates that $10,000,000 is available to fund 10-20 grants. Most grants will not exceed $750,000 per grant request; however, there is no maximum grant award.
Grant Period
The term of the grant period will be July 1, 2024. The grants will be established for a period of 60 months (5 years).
Eligibility Criteria
- This grant opportunity is open to any Minnesota school districts, charter schools, and cooperative units. These eligible sites will be referred to collectively as “eligible organizations,” “eligible districts,” or “eligible entities” throughout the application materials. Additionally, multiple eligible districts may submit a joint application and apply for this grant as a collaborative. In this case, the organization serving as the applicant must be the fiscal host for the joint application.
- Applications from eligible entities that seek to serve entire regions of Minnesota or entities joining together to submit joint applications are encouraged.
