The Veteran Provider Training Supports Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks to allocate VSHSL funds to no more than 2 entities to provide trainings and cultural competency to the veteran-serving community on key issues that affect veterans, military service members, and their respective families or that strengthen the ability of entities to be inclusive and welcoming of veterans, service members, and their respective families.
Funded entities will provide trainings on topics to be identified by DCHS, to the military and veteran provider community. The goal of such trainings is to enable providers to serve veterans, military service members, and their respective families more effectively.
This strategy will prioritize funding entities that have a demonstrated history of veteran cultural competency and can prioritize providing trainings to organizations in King County that serve veterans, service members, and their families. The focus of such trainings should be related to culturally relevant service provision, knowledge of veteran resources in the community, and common issues specific to the veteran community that providers may encounter.
Funding Information
Up to $1,006,043 is available for the program period of September 1, 2024 until December 31, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
This request is open to for-profit and nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, tribes and tribal organizations and public or governmental agencies serving communities in King County. Small nonprofit, community-based Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color-led organizations are encouraged to submit proposals.
