The Circle makes grants to nonprofit organizations that support women and/or children in the Kitsap Peninsula. The boundaries of the Circle are defined by the geography of the Kitsap Peninsula.

Small Nonprofits (Annual Revenue under $100,000, Maximum Award $2,500).
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must have a 501 (c) (3) IRS tax-exempt designation.
- All applicants use the online application.
- Organizations that were funded in the previous grant cycle are not eligible to apply this year.
- An organization may submit only one application per funding cycle.
- Grant funds must be used only for the purpose stated in the grant application.
- The applicant’s organization/program grant proposal must address the needs of women and/or children residing within the geographic limitations of the Kitsap Peninsula. They define the Kitsap Peninsula to include the following unincorporated and incorporated communities: Bainbridge Island, Bangor, Belfair, Bremerton, Gig Harbor, Hansville, Indianola, Key Peninsula, Kingston, Manchester, North Hood Canal, Olalla, Port Gamble, Port Orchard, Poulsbo, Seabeck, Silverdale, Southworth, and Suquamish.
- Types of programs which will be considered for funding include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Creation of successful pathways out of homelessness, particularly for women of color and single women, through adult literacy, leadership development, enhancement of job readiness skills, or other social services using a trauma-informed, person-centered approach;
- Development of equitable opportunities for women and/or children;
- Advocacy and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, or sex trafficking;
- Provision of basic needs for women and children, such as food, shelter, or related supportive services that use evidence-based or best practices;
- Assistance for women and/or children with behavioral health challenges, physical disabilities, or other documented special needs;
- Reduction of traumatic stress in children up to age 18; and,
- Comprehensive child development and/or early learning programs that emphasize the use of evidence-based and best practices to reduce Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES).
