Grant funds are intended to support organizations with pre-existing supportive workforce, apprenticeship, or skills training programs, to expand capacity for additional participants or to adjust program guidelines as needed to serve a population previously or currently experiencing homelessness. Participants at shelter sites may have recently experienced homelessness, may have varying levels of employment history, and may be in the process of addressing mental, physical, and/or substance use-related health issues. Supportive workforce programs will provide individual participants work opportunities for a duration of 6 weeks or longer and can provide optional levels of weekly time commitments (hourly, part-time, or full-time) as defined by the grantee organization. All supportive workforce programs will include individual case management, ongoing supportive employment services (resume development, technical assistance, connection to resources), compensation to program participants for work completed, and reporting requirements.
Funding Information
Total funding for this program is $240,000. No single grant under this program shall exceed $80,000.
