The County Solid Waste Division has a total of $40,000 available to fund projects that support Recycling and Waste Diversion on Kaua‘i consistent with the recommendations put forward in the most recent Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan Update.
Eligible Projects
Project examples may include but not be limited to aspects of food waste composting resulting in diversion from the landfill, plastic diversion with on-island solutions for reuse and upcycling, solid waste diversion programs that are working towards being self-sufficient, and other programs directly related to recycling and waste diversion.
Eligibility Criteria
The County is soliciting applications through a competitive grant process. Applicants must be a 501(c)3 non-profit.
