Details:
Open to elevated genre feature film proposals by writers and/or directors whose work in front of and behind the camera aims to serve narratives that further Artistry, Diversity, and Equity and uplift those from historically underserved communities.
Over one year, the AU Incubator Grant Recipient will be expected to submit the following:
- Project Treatment at the application phase
- Story Outline
- Working Draft of the Script
- Final Draft of the Script
- Project Bible or Deck
Funding Information
$20,000 USD.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Applicants must have a treatment for their project as well as a supplement feature screenwriting sample. Directing samples, if available, will be welcome to supplement the application but are not required. This project will be developed with Anarchists United Foundation. Finished scripts will not be considered.
- Only co-applicants listed on this application will be included in Finalist press release if selected. If you are applying with a co-applicant, please submit a single application. (You can submit up to two total applicants)
- All projects submitted must be in the horror, science-fiction, fantasy, action, or thriller genres.
- Foundation welcomes applications for these grant programs from all eligible applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity/gender expression, disability status, or any other identity.
- Applicants must be based in The United States for the entirety of the grant cycle (through the end of 2025).
