- Foundation funds newly-founded and existing organizations that are engaged in activist organizing. The foundation prefers groups that don’t have much foundation funding or other traditional streams of income.
- Foundation funds 501c3s, groups with a 501c3 fiscal sponsor, and organizations with a bank account in the their name.
- Foundation funds projects as well as general operating costs. Foundation is looking for creative and bold ideas that have a specific goal.
- Foundation funds projects and organizations dedicated to fighting for systemic change, rather than personal/individual support.
Eligibility Criteria
Organizing Grants are only available to organizations and projects that are based in the United States.
Ineligibility
- Foundation does not fund individuals, or individual projects.
- Foundation does not fund direct services, healing or therapy work, or mutual aid that’s not a component of organizing.
- Foundation does not fund projects or organizations with operating budgets exceeding $250,000.
- Foundation does not fund lobbying or political campaigns.
- Foundation does not fund art, films, or dance projects that aren’t a component of organizing.
- Foundation does not fund tuition or scholarships.
- Foundation does not fund university supported projects.
