The goal of this Request for Applications (RFA) is to further the District of Columbia’s pledge to be carbon neutral by 2045 and mitigate its contribution to climate change equitably in collaboration with District residents. The grantee will work primarily with low-income households, disadvantaged communities, and faith-based organizations who can benefit from residential energy efficiency and electrification.
The purposes of this grant are to fund an entity to:
- Educate low-income households, disadvantaged communities, and faith-based organizations about energy efficiency and electrification.
- Highlight the benefits and technologies of energy efficiency and electrification to residents to promote adoption of measures that would help the District achieve carbon neutrality and;
- Provide information to residents on other local and federal residential energy efficiency and electrification programs and incentives.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofit organizations, including those with IRS 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) determinations;
- Faith-based organizations;
- Universities/educational institutions; and
- Private Enterprises.
