- Equitable Access to Treatment and Resources
- Grant funding must be used to finance programs and organizations that increase access to mental health resources and remove barriers to treatment, especially in underserved Hoosier communities. These barriers may include but are not limited to patient transportation, workforce shortage, care affordability, etc.
- Grassroots Peer-to-Peer Programming
- Grant funding must be used for grassroots programs that employ an evidence-based model to address mental health challenges and advocate for positive change in their community. In this context, “grassroots” may refer to any peer-to-peer program with a community-centric approach.
- Awareness and Anti-Stigma Initiatives
- Grant funding must be used to finance initiatives that raise awareness about the prevalence of mental health disorders and the importance of mental health. These initiatives must encourage acceptance and understanding in their community and work to remove the stigma around mental health disorders.
- Youth Mental Health
- Grant funding must be used for organizations, initiatives, and programs designed to impact youth mental health through any of the above focus areas. This includes workforce development, equitable access, grassroots programming, and anti-stigma initiatives. Special consideration will be given to proposals involving youth sports.
