The City of Goleta has $120,000 in grant funds available to Old Town businesses.
Application Requirements
Applications for a grant must include the following basic elements:
- Name of Old Town business or nonprofit
- Applicant(s)/business(es) must be in good standing with the City and any applicable state and federal entities and agencies
- Provide business address, contract information and City Business License number
- If nonprofit provide proof of non-profit status
- Description of proposed project/program/activity/service
- Provide a breakdown of how the funding will be spent for the project (i.e. materials, vendors, rentals, overhead, etc.
- Including any supporting joint partnerships, matching funding, or cost sharing.
Restrictions and Limitations
Grant funds shall not be used for political campaigning purposes or activities. Furthermore, grant funds shall not be used for religious activities. Grant funds will not be awarded to individuals, unless they are a sole proprietor, and only to Old Town Businesses and/or nonprofit organizations.
