In 1980, the Henry and Louise Timken Foundation transitioned from a private foundation to a supporting foundation of Stark Community Foundation. The Foundation has played an integral role in funding downtown Canton redevelopment efforts.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants must be a tax-exempt private agency, 501(c)(3) organization (that is recognized as a public charity) or government entity and must be established for at least three years. Preference is given to applicants with a Stark County presence and to programs that support medical vision services, aviation, and the arts. Requested funds must be for the benefit of the Stark County community.
- The Foundation will not award grants to an organization lasting more than three consecutive years and does not approve grants to support deficit financing for programs or capital expenditures.
