The Columbus Foundation is committed to a just society, and to working with community partners to address the symptoms of inequality by supporting partnerships that expand economic opportunities for historically marginalized people and reduce disparities across the community.
The Columbus Foundation seeks to fund nonprofit programs or initiatives that are intentionally and purposely designed to promote the following within Franklin County:
- Economic Opportunity: Programs and initiatives that increase economic mobility and opportunity for members of Franklin County.
- Awareness and Education: Programs and initiatives, focused on the broader community, that support education in areas of inclusivity across the community, at specific and structural levels. (Applications should not focus on activities for a sole organizational entity, but rather a backbone entity providing broader, community focused, awareness and education.)
- Disparity Reduction: Programs and initiatives that reduce the disparity, and increase prosperity, for marginalized populations across the community.
