Lafayette’s Cultural Arts Board’s mission is to promote, nurture, and celebrate the visual, performing, cultural, and language arts in Lafayette, Colorado by connecting artists, building partnerships, and enhancing and supporting diversity. The Lafayette City Council values accessibility, inclusivity, resilience, and multiculturalism. LCAB has adopted an Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) framework to meet these goals. LCAB support IDEA values and empowers historically underserved members of community through grant programs. Particularly interested in projects that demonstrate cultural equity and social justice and diversity in artists, audiences, participants, collaborations, and/or content.

Awards are $1,000 or less.
Grant Period
Funded projects should be completed between September 8, 2025, and May 8, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
- Teachers in Lafayette schools may apply for a grant to support arts and culture-related projects with local students
- All applicants must be affiliated with a K-12 school within the official boundaries of the City of Lafayette
- All projects must directly benefit students at the designated school
- Grants for projects are available to Lafayette school personnel or artists
- No money will be distributed if the grantee’s previous final report is not submitted
- All projects must directly benefit students in Lafayette schools and must occur within Lafayette City boundaries.
Exclusions
Funds will not be provided for projects that have occurred before the grant deadline, capital improvements, fundraising events, receptions and/or refreshments, existing general operating budgets, salaries for employees of organizations or reductions of deficits from past programs. (This does not exclude hiring visiting artists.)
