Funding Categories
Project grants are awarded to organizations for the support of specific art projects, which they intend to offer to the public. An organization may submit only one support application per year.
Support grants are given for projects in the following program areas:
- Performing Arts to include: Music, Dance, Theater, and Puppetry
- Visual Arts to include: Sculpture, Painting, Photography, and Crafts
The Committee’s main goal is to fund artists to perform, to teach, or to do. The Committee does NOT pay for advertising, art supplies, permanent equipment, transportation, postage, janitorial, security fees, etc.
Funding Information
Most grant awards are between $200 – $2,000.
Grant Period
A qualified, independent local arts board will evaluate your form, and awarded projects will be submitted to the Westmoreland County Commissioners for approval by June 5, 2025. All activities must take place between June 1 and December 31, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be non-profit corporations or local government entities providing arts programming and/or services in Westmoreland County. A Federal Identification Number is required and applicants must have tax-exempt status from the IRS. No group will be funded that cannot prove their non-profit status via attachments to the grant applications.
