Ellison Education Grants provide support to educators who design academic enrichment curricula for students and/or professional learning experiences to enhance their current practice. The Ellison Foundation recognizes classroom teachers’ expertise in understanding their own professional learning needs and those of their students.

The Ellison Foundation considers applications from educators who:
- Are employed at a K-12 public or charter school in the state of Washington
- Are currently certified to teach in Washington State
- Have the background and experience to complete the project successfully
- Have the support of their school administration
- Have direct and regular contact with students in grades K-12
- Are willing to work in collaboration with the Ellison Foundation and share your ideas with others.
