Nonprofit organizations across Weld County are encouraged to apply for funding to support community-driven initiatives aimed at creating lasting change.
Funding Investment Priorities
United Way of Weld County is committed to supporting initiatives that focus on the following funding investment priorities:
- Reading Great by 8: Building a foundation for early childhood success, ensuring children enter Kindergarten ready and are reading at grade level by the start of 4th Grade.
- Thrive by 25: Connecting youth to caring adults to ensure they graduate high school and transition to successful adulthood by age 25.
- Weld’s Way Home: Preventing and ending homelessness by helping households attain and maintain stable housing.
- Aging Weld: Supporting older adults to age well in the community, ensuring they live full and productive lives.
Grant Period
July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for funding:
- Be a non-profit organization as defined by the Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) code and have been in operation for at least six months.
- Be in good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State.
- Be an Accredited Charity with the Better Business Bureau or be willing to become accredited.
- Be an organization that is willing to actively participate as a Collective Impact partner.
- Demonstrate a local presence within Weld County.
- Demonstrate sufficient organizational capacity to provide the proposed services to Weld County residents.
- Provide services without regard to race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, ancestry, marital status, disability, or any other protected class.
