Grants to Strengthen and Uplift LGBTQ+ Communities

Dated: March 17, 2025

The Gamma Mu Foundation is committed to empowering LGBTQ+ communities by supporting organizations and initiatives that create lasting, positive change.

Donor Name: Gamma Mu Foundation

State: All States

County: All Counties

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 03/31/2025

Size of the Grant: $10,000 to $100,000

Grant Duration: 1 Year

Details:

Grants address the unique challenges faced by rural and underserved populations, funding programs that promote health, education, social support, and equality. They proudly support local LGBTQ+ community organizations, empowering them to expand their reach, enhance services, and build stronger, more inclusive environments. By investing in these vital efforts, strive to foster communities where every individual can thrive.

The Foundation’s grants focus on three key program areas:

  • Community Support Services: Activities proposed to meet the needs of rural communities and underserved LGBTQ+ populations, such as young people, seniors, and victims of bullying, and promote empowerment and inclusivity
  • Public Education and Research: Initiatives designed to increase awareness and understanding of LGBTQ+ issues, foster a more inclusive environment for the community, and establish a foundation for evidence-based advocacy
  • HIV and Health Programs: Interventions designed to meet the needs of persons, caregivers, and families impacted by HIV and other health conditions (e.g., aging and mental health), including support and outreach activities.

Goals

  • Enhancing Community Impact – back projects that strengthen communities and highlight the Foundation as a committed supporter of LGBTQ+ initiatives
  • Building Organizational Capacity – help grantees expand their capacity and resources, ensuring their programs remain viable beyond the duration of the support
  • Prioritizing Underserved Communities – prioritize proposals that serve rural and underserved LGBTQ+ populations, addressing gaps in services and fostering inclusivity
  • Fostering Leadership – invest in initiatives that cultivate strong leadership within LGBTQ+ organizations and progams, with a focus on applications where LGBTQ+ individuals are leading projects that drive sustainable change and promote equality.
