Details:

The Foundation for Seacoast Health is seeking proposals from organizations dedicated to improving the lives of older adults through programs that reduce social isolation, enhance caregiver support, and improve connections to resources.

In addition, the Foundation will prioritize organizations that primarily serve older adults, and that reach at-risk or marginalized individuals. They recognize the critical role that the nonprofit sector plays in fostering independence, dignity, and well-being among aging populations. Organizations and proposals must address one or more of the following:

  • Reducing Social Isolation
    • Organizations that promote social connection, wellness, and mental health through peer networks, group activities, or virtual engagement.
  • Enhancing Caregiver Support
    • Organizations that provide education, respite care, peer support, and resources for family caregivers of older adults.
  • Improving Connections to Resources
    • Organizations that link older adults to resources that enhance their ability to remain living in the setting of their choice. For example, transportation, nutritious food, and other critical services.

Funding Information

Grants between $25,000-$50,000 will be considered.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Organizations must support individuals who reside in the Foundation’s service area: Portsmouth, Newington, New Castle, Greenland, Rye, and North Hampton, NH; Kittery, Eliot, and York, ME.
  • Organizations qualified as tax-exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3) and not private foundations under Section 509(a).
  • Public Entities: Municipalities, schools, and colleges that impact health.
  • Consortiums or community partnerships with a fiscal agent or sponsor. If using a fiscal sponsor, a cover letter indicating support must be submitted, as the sponsor will be considered the grantee.
