Funding Information
- Annual Allocation: Minimum of $750,000
- One-Time Funds: Up to $500,000 for eligible projects.
Grant Period
Up to three years (Fiscal Years 2026, 2027 and 2028).
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, healthcare providers, public health entities, law enforcement, schools and community organizations working to combat the opioid crisis in Missoula.
Organizations and programs that align with one of the three focus areas:
- Prevention: Evidence-based education for school age children and young adults, naloxone distribution, first responder training, public health initiatives, drug disposal programs and community anti-drug coalitions.
- Treatment and Recovery: Evidence-based treatment following the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) continuum of care, mobile intervention, treatment and recovery services, trauma-informed care, wraparound support (housing, job training, childcare) and comprehensive continuum of care treatment and recovery options.
- Criminal Justice Programs: Pretrial support services, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and treatment/recovery courts.
