Details:

For 2025, funding will be focused on Housing Stability, with a particular emphasis on eviction prevention and services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Below is a list of example programs that could be considered. This is not an exhaustive list, and other programs that support housing stability could be eligible as well.

  • Eviction prevention, including financial assistance and/or support services that stabilize households to remain in place
  • Legal support for households facing housing instability
  • Services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, which could include transitional housing programs, emergency shelters, rapid rehousing efforts, and other services 
  • Permanent supportive housing
  • Fair housing education and advocacy
  • Tenants’ rights education and advocacy

Focus Areas

Eligible focus areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Eviction prevention services and financial assistance
  • Legal support for housing instability
  • Homelessness services (transitional housing, shelters, rapid rehousing)
  • Permanent supportive housing
  • Fair housing education and advocacy
  • Tenants’ rights education and advocacy.

Funding Information

Grant awards will range between: $20,000–$50,000.

Geographical Limitations

The proposal must support work within the five core counties of the metro Atlanta region: Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett counties. In the Policy category, proposals may address statewide policy as well.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be classified by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3) of the I.R.S. code as a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, donations to which are deductible as charitable contributions under Section 170 (c)(2), and the I.R.S. determination must be current. Alternatively, applicants may be operating under a fiscal sponsor, which must maintain an active 501(c)(3) certification.
  • Applicant must be registered with the Georgia Secretary of State as a nonprofit. Alternatively, applicants may be operating under a fiscal sponsor, which must maintain an active nonprofit certification through the state of Georgia.
  • Applicant must directly provide the services the grant opportunity intends to fund.
