Tiers
New this year, the City is implementing a two-part review process to streamline the evaluation of smaller grant requests, allowing the CPGP Committee to focus more on larger requests. The two-part process would work as follows:
- Smaller Grant Requests: Applicants requesting $7,500 or less will be evaluated by the CPGP Committee without a presentation. All small grants requests will be subject to an annual award cap. This cap will be set by staff and the CPGP Committee, considering the overall program budget and the volume of requests to ensure fairness and practicality. To ensure the CPGP Committee can still gather necessary information, staff will facilitate Q&A with these organizations via email. Organizations will still have the option to request a presentation. These requests will be evaluated by staff, who will approve them based on the specific circumstances of the organization.
- Larger Grant Requests: Applicants requesting over $7,500 are required to deliver a presentation to the CPGP Committee, with the Committee allocating any remaining available funds to these applicants.
