The Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation, Inc. was created by Jewett City Savings Bank for the support and benefit of community, charitable, educational, and other benevolent purposes. The mission of the Foundation is to reinforce, encourage, and support the Bank’s ongoing commitment to the well-being of the communities it serves. The Foundation will allocate its resources specifically for the advantage of the community at large.
Grants will be made for existing program support, general support, special projects, and/or start-up endeavors covering a variety of issues impacting the community.

Geographic Focus
The Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation’s financial grants and monetary gifts support qualifying non-profit organizations whose work benefits the population of those communities in which the Bank has a major presence.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Foundation considers grant proposals from organizations including non-profits as defined in IRS Codes section 501(c)(3) or a governmental unit referred to in section 170(c)(1).
- It also accepts applications from organizations serving households in the defined market area; organizations that they have financially supported in the past; organizations that direct services to low- to moderate-income households in the defined market area; organizations that support development and maintenance of housing for low- to moderate-income households in the defined market area; organizations dedicated to improving the quality of community life in the defined market area; and to other qualifying organizations whose goals are determined to be consistent with the Foundation’s mission.
- The Foundation does not provide funding for individuals, sports, individual schools or religious groups.
