Vision Maker Media’s Native Youth Media Project transforms the natural storytelling abilities of Native youth into skills for creating short-format media.
This grant opportunity is open to existing Native youth programs that have been running for at least two years, working with young people ages 13 to 21 within Native organizations and communities across the United States.
The partnership with Vision Maker Media is fully collaborative. Partner organizations maintain autonomy and oversight of their projects, while Vision Maker Media provides resources through its network of film and media professionals. Together, they develop training structures tailored to the needs of the youth program and community.
Applications are being accepted for grants of up to $25,000 to support existing Native American youth programs.
Eligible programs must have been sustainable for at least three years and produce projects in high-quality, exhibitable digital formats, with minimal media compression.
To qualify, organizations must be U.S.-based and align with Vision Maker Media’s mission to empower Native people to share their stories. The deadline to apply is January 10, 2026.
