The Delaware Community Foundation is accepting applications for the Next Gen South Grant Program, which supports initiatives focused on addiction treatment, family services, emergency housing, and homelessness prevention in Kent and Sussex Counties. This program is led by young professionals in the region who aim to address the social challenges faced by the most vulnerable residents.
Next Gen South uses the resources of the Delaware Community Foundation but operates with its own structure to raise funds and support the local community. The focus of the program shifts periodically to meet the evolving needs of the areas it serves. Organizations applying for the grant can receive up to $10,000 in funding.
Nonprofit organizations based in Delaware with a 501(c)(3) designation are eligible to apply. The grants are intended for projects that demonstrate vision, effectiveness, and strong management, aiming for positive community change. The foundation encourages collaboration among organizations, reducing service duplication and leveraging additional funding sources. Projects should also include an evaluation component to measure their impact.
Eligible organizations must ensure that their services are available to all Delaware residents without discrimination based on race, religion, gender, age, disability, national origin, or sexual orientation. The deadline for applications is August 1, 2025.
