The Nebraska Blue Foundation is now accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) for programs focused on improving the health and well-being of Nebraskans while also boosting the state’s economic vitality. This grant opportunity is open to nonprofits across all counties in Nebraska, with a submission deadline of August 1, 2025.
Grants range from $1,000 to $10,000, with a particular interest in supporting innovative and pilot projects. The foundation encourages proposals that bring fresh ideas to the table and aim to create measurable community impact.
Priority funding areas include workforce development, economic development, and civic investments that promote job creation. Projects that enhance “third places”—such as parks, libraries, and community gathering spaces—are also strongly considered, especially those that revitalize underused public spaces.
The foundation’s four main focus areas are: Serving Seniors, Increasing Access to Preventive Health Care, Economic Vitality, and strengthening Third Places within communities. Each area targets a different but critical aspect of community well-being and long-term sustainability.
Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations based in Nebraska and primarily serving Nebraskans. Organizations with fiscal sponsors are also welcome to apply.
