The Worcester County Health Department is inviting mini-grant proposals from community-based organizations, churches, and other interested groups to implement the Promoting Health Among Teens-Comprehensive Education Program.
This grant opportunity is available through funding from the State of Maryland’s Personal Responsibility Education Program. The funds will support youth education aimed at preventing teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections.
To qualify, organizations must serve youth residents of Worcester County, Maryland. Applicants can request up to $5,500, with award amounts depending on the quality of proposals and the number of applications received.
Selected organizations will be expected to deliver the education program to at least 15 to 20 youth aged 12 to 19 in Worcester County.
Eligible programs must focus on health promotion, providing education and risk reduction related to teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection prevention.
