The City of Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission is inviting performing arts organizations to apply for its “Art Spotlight CDA” grant program. This initiative is designed to help local groups sustain and expand their performing arts offerings, enriching both the community and the city’s cultural landscape.
Each year, Coeur d’Alene welcomes thousands of visitors, and the presence of vibrant performing arts programming helps elevate the city’s appeal. Through this grant program, eligible organizations can apply for funding to support the creation and production of theatre, dance, music, opera, and similar performances.
Organizations must submit a detailed letter outlining the project or production they propose to fund, along with how it will benefit the community. The grant provides a total of $15,000 in funding, with selected applicants receiving either $5,000 or $7,500 for the first year.
The grant term begins on November 1, 2025, and runs through October 31, 2026. There is also an option for a second year of funding from November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2027.
To qualify, applicants must be based in Kootenai County, Idaho, and must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in good standing. They must also have at least five years of prior experience in producing performing arts programming and must actively engage and schedule performances for general audiences as a core part of their operations. Only one application may be submitted per grant cycle.
