The Macon County Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its Grant Program, offering support to charitable organizations that serve Macon County, North Carolina. The program aims to address a broad range of local needs including human services, health, education, youth development, food and nutrition, and the arts.
Grants typically range from $500 to $2,500, and funding is available to help nonprofits make a meaningful impact in the community. Applicants must be qualified charitable organizations, including 501(c)(3) public charities registered with the IRS or those with a fiscal sponsor that meets the same criteria.
Local governments, public schools, fire and rescue departments are also eligible to apply. Religious organizations may request funding for charitable outreach programs that benefit the broader community, but not for general operations or programs limited to members of a particular faith.
Applicants must ensure that all services and programs are offered without discrimination based on age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, physical ability, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or religious belief. Only organizations serving counties within the affiliate network are eligible, and those working across multiple counties must submit separate applications for each.
