Applications are now open for the City of Grants Pass Tourism Promotion Grant Program. This opportunity is designed to support projects that enhance sustainable tourism and increase overnight stays in the Grants Pass area of Oregon.
The City allocates 12% of eligible tourism funds to this program, which focuses on marketing and promotional efforts tied to specific events or activities. The goal is to attract visitors from more than 50 miles away, encouraging repeat tourism and boosting the local economy.
Priority will be given to recurring events with the potential for annual growth, including sports, arts, cultural festivals, food events, industry-focused gatherings, and community celebrations. Projects involving outdoor recreation like hiking, rafting, and biking also stand out.
Other eligible ideas include promoting historically significant locations, highlighting local culture and ecology, or offering touring guides, travel packages, and agritourism experiences.
Grants will range between $1,000 and $10,000, with priority projects generally receiving between $2,500 and $5,000. The application deadline is August 12, 2025.
