This is far from an inside-the-Beltway staffing story. Journalists across the country must inform their audiences of how these unprecedented changes to funding, operations and policy will affect their communities.
To help journalists dig into these historic shifts in crucial services, from Social Security operations to weather forecasting, the National Press Foundation will host experts, analysts and veteran journalists with decades of insider knowledge to brief local news reporters about how to track and report on the impact.
This is tuition-free training, and NPF will cover airfare, hotel and some meals with the sponsorship of Arnold Ventures.
