Thriving Communities Grants support projects that strengthen Golden’s sense of community, improve quality of life, and help residents thrive together.
Funding Information
A total of $150,000 will be awarded in 2026.
- Operations/Programs or Small Capital Projects (capital requests are limited to $10,000)
- Mini-grants (for projects less than $5,000).
Eligible Activities
Funding Proposals will be accepted for the following purposes:
- Efforts to focus on improving quality of life for the residents of Golden
- Educational, youth, or recreational programs for Golden residents
- Mental health or senior service programs (grants for food or housing insecurity are not eligible for Thriving Communities funding)
- Projects that build community and bring people together
- Other innovative programs and projects will be considered.
Eligibility Criteria
Funding proposals will be accepted from not-for-profit organizations OR other organizations and individuals (including those with a fiscal sponsor) proposing a project within Golden City limits or a program directly serving the Golden community.
Review Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated by a community review committee, with funding recommendations made to the Golden City Manager’s Office. The review and recommendation will be based on the following selection criteria:
- Completeness of all requested information, including project budget
- Clear description of benefit and relevance to the Golden community
- Ability to complete the project in 2026
- Clear description of how success will be measured.
