Impact Austin’s mission is to know and to serve their community. They award grants to charitable programs or projects that benefit youth within Travis, Hays, Bastrop and/or Williamson counties. Through their programs, the organizations must strengthen, improve, enhance, and positively impact the lives of children and youth in the greater Austin area.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a grant, an organization must be classified as a “public charity” with tax-exempt status under Sec/on 501(c)(3) and 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. In addition, the organization’s proposal must:
- Benefit a specific youth population;
- Provide services in Travis, Hays, Bastrop and/or Williamson counties, Texas; and
- Use the full amount of the Girls Giving Grants’ available grant.
Types of Programs Will Not Consider
- Partisan, political lobbying or legislative activities
- Fraternal, sectarian, and religious organizations where the grant is intended for the principal benefit of the organization’s own members or adherents, or where the grant is intended for inherently religious activities.
- Private foundations
- Sports teams or any sports-related activity or competition
- Any restricted activity determined by IRS law or rulings. The 501(c)(3) organization is responsible for such compliance.
