Types of Tracks
Applications must be for ONE of the following:
- Track 1: Livestock Management: Alternative Waste Management and Precision Feed Management
- Track 2: Adaptation and Resiliency
- Track 3: Healthy Soils NY (Systems and BMPs that support soil health and agroforestry)
- Track 4: Agricultural Forest Management.

Eligibility Criteria
- Proposals for funding will be accepted from NYS Soil and Water Conservation Districts, or a group of Districts acting jointly. Groups of Districts acting jointly shall submit one application with one District assuming “Project Sponsor” status. The Project Sponsor will execute the grant award agreement and assume responsibility for the timely completion of the project and all required reports.
- Proposals may be for multiple projects and/or on multiple farm operations but must be for one Track only. A District may submit more than one application, including separate applications for multiple Tracks on the same farm operation.
- The County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Directors has sole authority to prioritize and select the application(s) and associated farm project(s) submitted for competitive ranking within a given CRF Program round according to the AEM process and program rules. A Board Resolution authorizing the District’s proposal for funding through the CRF Program must be voted upon, approved, and signed during a board meeting with a quorum, pursuant to Open Meetings Law.
