Arts Education projects focus on educating a closed group of learners, in one of two categories: either through In-School projects or through Community-Based projects.
Types of Projects
Funding Criteria
Applicants for an Arts Education Grant can apply in amounts of $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, or $7,500.
Grant Period
Funded Projects must occur between January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026.
Priorities
- An essential element of this funding is a community engagement component. The project must engage a segment of the community through a public program, such as an exhibition or performance that is open to the public, and/or the inclusion of community involvement in the development and creative process of the artists’ project.
- Participation of rural, minority and economically disadvantaged populations.
Eligibility Criteria
- A 501(c)(3) New York State non-profit organization with an active board of trustees either incorporated in NY state or registered to do business in NY State located in Fulton, Montgomery, or Saratoga County.
- A government or quasi-governmental entity, or tribal organization located in Fulton Montgomery, or Saratoga County.
- Individual artists, groups or collectives, and unincorporated entities who are working with an eligible fiscal sponsor or community-based partner located in Fulton, Montgomery, or Saratoga County.
