This funding will support projects across the county to combat the serious problems caused by the opioid crisis.
These funds come from a legal settlement with major drug companies over the widespread damage caused by opioid misuse. The Task Force has created a clear plan to distribute this money openly and fairly.
Lincoln County entered into the opioid settlement agreements on March 21, 2023. The Lincoln County Board resolved that a task force be created to provide recommendations to the Board for how to use the funds, consistent with the terms of the settlement agreement. The Lincoln County Opioid Settlement Task Force has now dedicated some of those funds to be distributed to community organizations.
