Established in 2020 by members of Ripley Youth Outreach, the A Greener Tomorrow initiative was created to promote sustainable practices and foster environmental stewardship within communities.
A Greener Tomorrow’s mission is to invest in projects and programs that protect and expand the natural landscapes and resources of Ripley County. Through this program, the community foundation aims to increase appreciation for our natural environment, enhance community well-being, boost economic growth, and ensure a thriving future for Ripley County residents.
Through A Greener Tomorrow, they are empowering young leaders and community members to become environmental stewards in their community,” stated Amy Streator, Executive Director for the Ripley County Community Foundation. “From planting pollinator gardens and indigenous trees, to revitalize downtowns and expanding access to green spaces, they are preserving the beauty and vitality of Ripley County and creating a greener tomorrow.
