The Community Foundation has mobilized resources from the Urgent Needs Fund to respond to the developing COVID-19 crisis that is impacting and will continue to impact many friends and neighbors across northeast Michigan for the following counties: Alcona, Alpena, Cheboygan, Crawford, Iosco, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda and Presque Isle.

Donor Name: Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan

State: Michigan

County: Selected Counties

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: Ongoing

Size of the Grant: $5,000

Details:

As always, they look to nonprofit partners to make a difference throughout the community. If your nonprofit organization is playing an active role in helping individuals and families during this difficult time, they may be able to offer financial support.

At this time the funding is limited, and funds are currently being directed toward projects directly affecting basic human needs for people experiencing hardship due to the economic consequences of COVID-19. They are working to connect needs with resources as this situation develops. Other related needs of organizations may also be considered. Grants may be used for direct services to your clients as well as necessary operations of your organization to help you serve your clients in direct relation to the COVID-19 crisis.

Funding Information

The maximum grant request amount is $5,000 for organizations whose project will benefit residents of one county. If your project will affect more than one county, you may apply for a maximum of $15,000.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Your organization must be playing an active role in helping individuals and families affected by COVID-19.
  • Your organization must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, government agency, church, or a school in order to receive funding.
  • Your organization must serve one or more of the following counties in northeast Michigan: Alcona, Alpena, Cheboygan, Crawford, Iosco, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda and Presque Isle.

**This grant cycle is ongoing and grant awards will be based on the merit of the proposal and the availability of funds. The purpose of the Urgent Needs Fund is to fill unexpected or emergency needs that occur due to the COVID-19 pandemic and/or its economic consequences.
