DPR will accept applications in the following categories:
- Cultural Arts
- A cultural arts program is a structured effort that engages individuals in the exploration and appreciation of the visual, performing and traditional arts that reflect diverse culture identities and histories.
- STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics
- A STEAM program is a curriculum or set of activities designed to develop students’ knowledge, skills and problem-solving abilities in science, technology engineering and mathematics through hands on inquiry-based and interdisciplinary learning.
- Aquatics
- An aquatic program is organized set of activities, lessons or events that take place in or around water designed to promote water safety, fitness recreation and skill development. It is a structured program that provides instruction exercise or recreational opportunities in aquatic environment
Objectives
The objective of the program is to:
- Provide enrichment through arts, technology and physical activity
- Ensure equitable access to summer programming for all eligible participants.
- Offer career exploration and community engagement
- Provide creative and cultural enrichment that compliments recreation.
Funding Information
Organizations can request up to $30,000.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria are as follows:
Applicants shall meet all applicable eligibility requirements listed in this RFA. Applications that do not meet eligibility will be considered unresponsive and will not be considered for funding under this RFA. Organizations that are eligible to apply for this grant include public and private non-profit and for-profit organizations with demonstrated effectiveness in providing the requested services and meeting the needs of the target population, including:
- Non-profit, community, and faith-based organizations
- Public, charter, or alternative secondary schools
- Private and for-profit service providers.
