The goal is to provide scholarship opportunities and ongoing mentorship and relationship building that extends well beyond the initial award.
Beginning with the 2026 academic year, SOAR now awards $200,000 annually through two scholarship tracks:
- SOAR College provides $100,000 annually in scholarships to outstanding women pursuing four-year university or graduate degrees who are the first in their family to pursue higher education or who have overcome significant challenges. Each SOAR College Scholar receives a $5,000 scholarship, along with access to mentorship, professional development, and an ongoing community of support.
- SOAR Skills provides $100,000 annually to students pursuing skilled trades, technical training, certifications, apprenticeships, and applied career pathways. Open to both young men and women, SOAR Skills is designed for individuals at an early stage of their career journey and focused on skill development and credential attainment. Each SOAR Skills Scholar receives up to a $5,000 scholarship applied directly to approved training and certification providers.

SOAR awards $200,000 annually through two scholarship tracks, supporting up to 40 students each year:
- SOAR College awards up to 20 scholarships of $5,000 each to women pursuing four-year university or graduate degrees
- SOAR Skills awards up to 20 scholarships of $5,000 each to students pursuing skilled trades, technical training, and applied career pathways
Eligibility Requirements
SOAR College
- Women who are first-generation college or graduate students or have overcome significant challenges on their educational journey
- Enrolled full-time or accepted to begin full-time in Fall 2026 at an accredited 4-year university or graduate program in the United States
- Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
- Demonstrate leadership abilities and good moral character in all aspects of life, including personal, professional, educational, community involvement, and online presence
SOAR Skills
- Students (young men and women) at an early stage of their career journey pursuing their first primary trade, technical skill, or certification
- Enrolled in or accepted to begin a trade school, technical program, certification program, or apprenticeship
- Demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and commitment to skill development
- Demonstrate good moral character in all aspects of life, including personal, professional, community involvement, and online presence
