Funding Information
The total amount available for grantmaking is limited to $300,000 The minimum grant amount is $50,000. Direct administrative and evaluation costs can be included in requests. Disbursements of awarded funds will be made in a single payment within the first week of the April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2028 grant term.
Eligibility Criteria
Not for profit entities which serve the people of Kalamazoo County are encouraged to apply. Organizations must be:
- A legally registered 501(c) (3) Public Charity, including faith-based non-profits. An agency without 501(c)(3) registration can apply with a documented fiscal sponsor.
- Agencies whose programming aligns with action step in the Kalamazoo Blueprint for Peace.
In addition organizations must serve one or more of the following populations disproportionally below the ALICE threshold:
- Those which serve areas where 41% of the total population meet ALICE criteria
- BIPOC households
- Single-headed households with children
- Households headed by individuals 25 and younger or 65 and older
- Persons with disabilities.
