Details:
Each eligible town may request up to $5,000 to support artists’ fees for programming such as:
- Performing Artists: to present musicians, dancers, theatre productions, etc.
- Teaching Artists: to lead workshops, residencies, camps, etc.
- Visual Artists: to create murals or other public art installations, exhibit artwork, etc.
Grant Period
July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027.
Eligibility Criteria
The Wake County municipal governments of Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Morrisville, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, and Zebulon or their municipal departments are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to municipalities with populations less than 150,000. This grant can only be used to hire an artist or arts organization for a public-facing event or installation. Funding cannot be used as pass-through funds to an outside organization to cover operating expenses or artist fees as funded programs must be produced by the municipality. One application per town will be accepted.
